59-year old HGV driver caught with amphetamine sulphate and ecstasy worth £1m... - The Lorry Crime Blog: "Folkestone Magistrates Court on Friday 4 June, lorry driver Ralph Cross, of no fixed abode, was charged with drug smuggling. He did not enter a plea with respect to the discovery of 100kg of illegal drugs found in his truck the previous day.
A sniffer dog uncovered the haul in three holdalls. He was arrested at the inward freight controls at Dover's Eastern docks.
'The UK Border Agency (UKBA) works 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to detect and prevent drugs from being smuggled into the UK,' says Ray Payne, assistant director for the UKBA."
